Stix2 Designs 2017

Die Cutting with Stix2 & Sizzix
Here I've die cut the bird from Stix2 A4 DS tape sheet, carefully removed one backing sheet before sticking carefully to card. Now remove the second backing sheet & cover with Stix2 Transfer foils. All the card blanks are from Stix2 & here I've used the very pretty blue pearl card which has been passed through an embossing folder. I've used the same technique with the following 2 cards.

Here I've used Stix2 PVA glue to adhere some tissue paper behind some Stix2 Project Acetate & then attaching the die cut.

Here I've covered a piece of black card with A4 DS tape sheet before passing through an embossing folder & covering with Transfer Foils. I've used the Stix2 glue pen to attach the sentiment.

Lastly  I've used Stix2 Mount & Stamp Foam to create a set of stamps from dies. Simply use a Sizzix Bigz die with the foam to create a complimentary set of stamps.

Summer Release Samples

Here's a few new samples using some of the new late summer release of Woodware stamps from Creative Expressions in partnership with the great products from Stix2.

FRS643 Unicorn. I've printed onto material & then ironed onto a baby grow using the Various Materials Adhesive sheet . I've mixed a little Spray Fabric paint (Neon Pink & White) in a palette & added some crystal glitter to paint parts of the unicorn.

Here I've used JGS520 Set Sail to print onto plain material which I've then cut out & ironed onto the T shirt using Various Materials Adhesive sheet. I've sprayed the T shirt with white & Bahama blue spray paints before I ironed on the boat & then painted the boat using the Fabric Spray Paints from a palette.

This is JGS511 Bold Blooms Mildred. I've printed 3 times onto Stix2 Stardust Glitter paper & decoupaged the flower onto an ivory background using silicone glue, which is attached to a 6 x 6 card blank. The sentiment comes from FRS650 Vintage Inspiration.

Lastly we have an 8 x 8 Stix2 white card blank & the stamp used is JGS512 Bold Blooms "Erica". I have printed a background using chalk inkpads & using the Stix2 Hot Melt glue gun I've glued some Clear Plastic beads into the centres of the flowers. The craft panel at the back of the flower print has been randomly wrapped with some Stix2  white Paper Raffia.

I've been working on some new samples using the Stix2 with heat range using fabric. These are all 12 x 12 squares which when completed could be made into bags, cushions, pictures or whatever you wish. I've used the new spray fabric paints in 2 different ways; firstly I've sprayed around the outer edge of the material (I've used a linen type) & then after drawing the image from the stencil onto the fabric using a fine fabric marker, I've painted the main image using a brush. These paints are really great to paint with as you can mix them in a palette to create any colour you wish & you can also mix crystal glitter with them to give a shimmer. All the masks/stencils I have used are the "That Special Touch of..." range available from Creative Expressions. When the paint was dry I have ironed the piece with the Stix2 Craft & mixed Media iron (S57360) to fix the colours & make them fully washable. I have added some embellishment using the Stix2 Iron Adhesive sheets (For Various materials & For Delicates) which have been die cut & then ironed on with  with Transfer Foils in particular the new sets "Chocolate Box Treat" (S57368) & " Pick & Mix" (S57369). I have also stamped some sentiments onto the adhesive sheet for various materials & ironed this onto the piece (don't forget the parchment paper!).

Hi everyone I've been hard at work creating some new samples for you all to peruse using the great new products from Stix2 launched at the NEC in February. I've also been playing with some of the new Woodware designs from Francoise Read & Jane Gill  now marketed by Creative Expressions plus some lovely Thinlets dies from Sizzix. All card blanks are from Stix2's great quality range of cards & envelopes.

 Take a look !

Sizzix die "Delicate Feather" used with the new
Transfer Foil set from Stix2 "Pick & Mix" (S57369).
The "ghostly" feathers you see there are the result of a
happy accident & are in fact the waste from the Stix2 die cut
release sheet (S57316) which makes die cutting
with your most intricate dies so easy.

All the card used here comes from the Stix2 "Tinted" range
& to add a touch of sparkle I've used some round Stix2 3D foam pads
which I've covered with glitter from one of the Seed, Bead & Glitter sets

Here again all the card used is from the "Tinted" range
plus some lemon ginham card for the rabbit with
a 8 x 8 card blank as the base. I've punched the daisies
from some white & lemon Stix2 Stardust paper

Here's another take on the Sizzix "Wild Rabbit" die this
time using Stix2 orange Stardust card & a piece of their
gorgeous satin ribbon.

Another look at the new Transfer Foils from "Pick & Mix"

Here I'm using one of the new Woodware stamps FRS349 "Tatty Daisies"
I've created a background using Stix2 Project Acetate & water based markers
before stamping on top. The centres of the flowers  were made with hot glue
& gold transfer foil.

Here we have another new stamp, this time FRS638 "Paris Collage".
The butterflies are a Tim Holtz set from Sizzix "Detailed Butterflies- Mini"
I've given the top butterfly the transfer foil treatment with the Stix2 2in1 glue pen.
Here's a closer look.

Here I've used the other new set of Transfer Foils
"Chocolate Box Treats" (S57368)

Another look at "Tatty Daisies" used with the acetate
created background & mounted onto card from the "Tinted" range.

Lastly we have FRS639 "Tatty Butterflies". I've sponged
a background using Distress inks & stamped some of the smaller
icons. I've stamped the larger butterflies separately, cut them
out & added some transfer foils using the glue pen again.
I covered the background with a piece of DS Tape sheet (S57107)
removed the top sheet of backing paper put the butterflies in place
& then covered the remaining sticky area with Stix2 Crystal glitter.

Versamagic inkpads
Craft canvas on a roll.

Mothers Day is only a month away so time to create a special card for a special lady. I've used the Stix2 with heat range & have started by using the Tim Holz Wildflowers dies with the Various Materials sheet. I then sponged the die cut flowers softly with the pastel colours of the Versamagic pads before removing the paper backing sheet (a bit tricky but worth it!) & laying in place on the canvas which I had previously sponged with the Distress inks. Now cover the flowers with parchment paper & heat with the iron. It's important to leave the parchment paper in place until completely cold or you will peel off your design too! I love this effect as it gives a beautiful water colour look.I glued the piece of canvas to a piece of lavender card & mounted to the left of the card blank.
Next I took a piece of the DS  poly sheet & peeled off one backing paper to stick it onto a piece of card. I then die cut 2 butterflies using the Tim Holtz Detailed Butterflies set using the solid butterfly die.I also die cut 2 butterflies in pink & blue using the filigree die. I peeled off the remaining backing sheet on the "solid" butterflies & applied the hologram silver transfer foil from the "Carnival" set. Now simply lift the wings of the lacy butterfly & attach it to sit over the silver one. To finish I've stuck the butterflies to the card blank along  with the stamped sentiment & I've added some clear foam pads covered with transfer foils as embellishments.

Here's a closer look at the butterflies.
