Hi from me!

Sorry I've been a bit quiet of late, things have been a bit hectic! There has been the launch of the new Woodware blog which has been very exciting. My friend Jane has just become a Grandmother for the first time so baby cards have been to the fore & I just had to make a "Congratualtions Grandma" card too!I Forgot to photo it before posting it-oops sorry! Can't share that one with you. I'm soon off to foreign parts, can't wait! Although when that volcano started acting up again I did get a bit worried but all seems well now- touch wood! Keep watching the Woodware blog, bye for now!!

Ann's 70th birthday

I made this card for my aunt's 70th birthday. I used a beautiful Stampendous stamp which unfortunately is no longer available. I stamped with a black ink pad & embossed with clear powder. I used Micacolour pearl paints to colour the image. The flourishes down the right side of the card were acheived with a Woodware punch.http://www.woodware.co.uk/

I'm a bit cross!

I've had to re-post 2 posts I did a few days ago because they have just disappeared!! Grr!!

Competition winners at Japonica

We had a special morning at Japonica on Thursday as it was the day to announce the winners of our competition. The theme of the competition was to design & make a card for the Royal Wedding couple. Our winner was Pauline Suttcliffe with her beautiful punchcraft topiary card in pretty pastel colours. The runners up were Sheila Parsons & Shirley Searle. Pauline is pictured below right being presented with her prize by our judge Sue Arscott. All the other winners are shown in the picture on the left below & the bottom picture shows Pauline with Japonica owner Janet Caudrelier.http://www.japonicajan.blogspot.com/

Pauline's beautiful winning card

This is the card that I made for the Cardmaking & Papercraft Cardmaker of the Year competition 2009 for entry in the Stampendous category. I was absolutely thrilled to be the runner up as it was the first time I had won anything in a major competition. I used Stampendous stamps from the  "Tiers of Treats" collection stamped onto shrinky plastic & collaged onto pink spotty & mulberry papers. Very girly! http://www.woodware.co.uk/
