We're looking at "Friendship" this week & what better stamp than this one from Francoise Read. The background was created by adding some drops of Dreamweaver alcohol inks to some acetate & then printing this onto some pearl card. I stamped the image with Brilliance & added some colour with the coloured pencils. Layering onto some black card really makes the colours pop & I've criss crossed the ribbon over the card before attaching to the dotty background on the card blank. To finish I've added some green Elements & some faux stitching.

HouseMouse

Materials used:-
Stampendous HMCR18 Birdie Kiss
Versafine Vintage Sepia
Sakura coloured pencils
Woodware corner daisy punch
Ornate Bracket punches 2" & 3" Lilac gingham ribbon
Brown A5 card blank
It's HouseMouse week- don't you just love 'em? I've chosen "Birdie Kiss" but there are so many cute ones to chose from. I've stamped with Versafine as you just can't beat it for the fine details of the HouseMouse designs. Softly coloured with Sakura pencils is all you need.
The message which i have layered onto the 2 sizes of the Ornate bracket punches cpomes for "Little Messages" by Francoise Read & it's a set I fin myself reaching for again & again as it always seems to say just what you want. The bunting at the top comes from the "waste" after punching a border (just remove the guard) with the daisy corner punch. To finish just add some gingham ribbon & some bows.

It's sketch challenge time again & we have a very unusual one this time which I must admit has had me scratching my head a bit. So I played it safe & stuck to a bit of paper crafting with my old favourites the Perfect Prints paper pads & this time "Blue Dawn". I firstly die cut the circular part out & cut a frame too onto which I have applied the peel off greeting.I have filled the space with acetate & cut the appropriate panels from the papers. The panel under the acetate on the inside of the card has had a greeting from "Thoughtful Wishes" printed upon it. The small circular embellishment was made from the 3 punches with the stamen punch adding interest to the other areas. To finish just add some gold Metals.
Here's the original sketch

This week we're joining the ladies of the mirror crack'd for their non card challenge & this time we've been asked to design a "Shadow Box". Well my interpretation of this is a design in a frame & I must admit I've cheated a bit with this one as I haven't constructed my box from scratch. I've used a gift box & cut an aperture in the front but I'm happy with the result.
For the design I've used the lovely "Boxed Trio Daisies" from Jane Gill. I've stamped twice so that I could decoupage the daisies & I've water coloured with Tombow pens. The spotty background comes from the Perfect Prints pad & I've punched a label to add the greeting from "Little Messages".  To finish I have softly sponged the frame with the pink inkpad before adding the punched daisies.
Why not pop over to the mirror crack'd to see what they've been up to.

We have another challenge from the Woodware design team this week & this one comes from our guest designer Kim Rygate. Kim has chosen the theme of "Window" designs & one that I used to use a lot & had forgotten about so it was good to re visit it. The concept is quite simple really; take a piece of card which will be the front of your design & cut an aperture which can have a decoration around & a sentiment or artwork underneath i.e inside the "window" . I have taken a piece of pink card die cut an aperture & embossed it with an embossing folder. The sentiment which has been stamped inside the window is from "Delightful Verse".
The roses have been die cut & stamped using the Stampendous Build a Bouquet Stamp & die sets. I have coloured with Sakura pencils & given them some shape with a Character Shaper. After attaching to the card I have covered the leaves with Glossy Accents & given the butterflies the Stickles treatment.
