Today I've used  the Iron on Adhesive sheet for various materials from the Stix2 with heat range. Simply stamp onto the fabric side of the sheet  (I've stamped 2 flowers) using Colorbox Crafters inkpad Bark. These inkpads have to be heat set so perfect for use with the Stix2 with heat range.I then added colour to the flowers with stencil brushes & the other Crafters colours. You don't need to be too careful as the flowers will be cut out. Next I took a square of canvas & aged it a little with an inkpad before stamping all over with "Old Letter" & Versafine. Now remove the paper backing from the cut out flowers & place them onto the canvas. Cover with a piece of parchment paper & heat using the Stix2 Craft & Mixed Media iron for about 10 seconds. Leave the paper in place until the image is completely cold before peeling gently away. Mount this onto some purple card then the cream square & add the ribbon before attaching to the craft layer on the front of the card blank. To finish stamp "Happy Birthday" & add the diamantes.

It's raining cats & dogs! Let's hope that with our English summer this doesn't prove to be the case!! I've pulled out all the punches this week to create these fun characters. You'll see all the punches I've used in the pic below plus a couple of oval dies which I didn't have in punch form. I've re-folded the card gatefold style & used the tartan paper for the background. The cats & dog have been attached to some plain green card & I think you'll see at a glance how they have been formed. To complete the design I've added some detail on the animals & a wiggly line around the border with a Micron pen & some dots of Liquid Pearls to give a bit of texture & interest.  Here's a closer look.

Our theme this week has the rather ambiguous title of "Happy Days!" So what makes you happy? For me it's sunny summer days full of blue skies & time outdoors after the long, long winter months & I hope that I've been able to capture that in this card design.
I have constructed the card blank by  cutting a piece of flat white card in half (portrait). Then scored approx 2.5" at the left hand edge of the top piece & this has been attached at the back of the other piece.
To set the countryside scene I've punched a circle from card & attached the punched piece  in place with some re-positionable glue to mask a "sun".  Using a piece of torn paper I have then softly brushed some blue ink at the top to form the sky & then some shades of green inks for the grass. Now place the negative that was created from the punched circle over the masked circle (mask now removed) & apply some lemon ink.Repeat stamp the "Flowers in a Row"  across the bottom of the card & colour with the Koi pens.  Print the sentiment from the Bubble Bloom set at the right hand of the card front. The strawberries are made with the heart & maple leaf punches & I think they're quite cute! Simply punch the hearts & sculpt with a ball tool on the wrong side, add some "seeds" with a black Micron pen & attach to the right side of the card with some 3D foam pads. Now add the Glossy Accents & this will be your glue to affix the maple leaves in place to form the leaves & stalk of the strawberries. I've also added a little white detail with a Sakura gel pen before adding the Glossy Accents. To finish I've punched some mini butterflies from some dark blue paper with Stickles on their wings (it's the law!!) & the ladybugs among the flowers.

I have a shaker card for you this week which I think is quite fun. I've stamped "Daisy May" 3 times using Versafine Onyx Black; first onto the lemon gingham, then onto the yellow & green dotty papers. I then cut out the centre off the print on the gingham base with a craft knife & coloured the rest of the flower with Koi pens.I cut the green flower head to place under the flower aperture & also cut out the leaves to paper piece over the stamped leaves. Finally I cut the flower petals from the yellow dotty paper. I used clear, narrow foam tape to form a sealed oval centre on the green flower head & attached a piece of acetate under the flower printed on the gingham. I placed the seed beads in the centre of the green flower before carefully lining up the gingham layer to go over the top. The beads should be fully encapsulated in the centre of the flower now. I coloured the under side of the yellow dotty flower & curled the petals upwards with a DEET before attaching to the flower. To finish I have layered onto the green & yellow card & printed the sentiment before attaching to the card blank. Some broken lines with a Micron pen & the Card Candi add the finishing touches.
