Time for another "non card" challenge from the ladies at The Mirror Crack'd & this time we've been asked to either make or decorate a mask. Well I've taken the easy option & decorated a paper mache mask available from Sarah at Liberty Craft. I started by giving it a coat of acrylic paint & then when that was dry I sponged softly with the gold inkpad. Next I applied the Brilliance colours through the mask. Previously I had pasted the gecko twice onto white tissue paper using glossy black paste & left to dry. When the mask was prepared I carefully tore around the geckos getting as close to the outline as I could & then pasted them onto the face with glue. The tissue virtually disappears & leaves the image where you want it.I punched leaves from the paper pads & gold card with the beech punch before gluing to the top of the head. To complete the face I added some false eyelashes (I knew those freebies from a mag would come in handy one day!) some S/A gems from the Cluster set & some gold peel offs. Why not pop over to The Mirror Crack'd to see what they have come up with for their challenge.
