Easter may feel a little way off yet but time to think about some Easter cards. I've made a twisted easel card this week which for those of you who haven't made one aren't as complicated as they look. Here's how:-

1. Take a 8" x 8" square of card & fold in half. Cut from centre (i.e 4" in) to the fold with a ruler & craft knife.
2. Fold the cut panels diagonally back from the centre to the edges- like the lapels of coat! Now you have your base card!
3. Cut 2 x 4" squares of card which will be the base for your stamped images & will attach to the folded down triangles. The card will fold flat to go into a DL sized envelope.

I have used the delightful Bluebird Branch which is an older stamp from Stampendous but one of my favourites & it really has a spring like feel to it. I've stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black onto a die cut oval & coloured with pencil. The stamp which I've used for the Easter greeting is also a Stampendous one but obsolete  now I'm afraid- sorry!! I'e rouded all corners with the corner rounder.
For the base of the card I've used one of the pretty papers from the Perfect prints pad. The "stoppers" for the top panels have been punched with the circle punch & decorated with some punched flowers. A bow of organza ribbon cunningly hides the join in the paper!
To finish the design I've added some punched flowers & leaves & embellished with the Elements & Stickles.
